Please note that if you are applying via email, we would ask you to send your documents in pdf format and make sure each file is attached separately to the email. Please refer to the position you are applying for in the subject header.

ATTENTION:
Please bear in mind that the application cycle can be of varying duration depending on the position you are applying for.
You are of course able to enquire on the status of your application and, in the event of a rejection, ask for the reasons as to why you did not get the job.

If you would like to send an unsolicited application to pewag, you may do so using our online application system. However, please indicate the field and position that you are interested in so that we are able to transfer your documents to the correct department without any delays.

Please refer to the person responsible in the salutation and/or address; add the source of where you found the job opening (i.e. on the company homepage, newspaper etc); explain briefly why you are applying for this position and why we should hire you.

Write a short overview of your current work activities and explain the reasons as to why you would like to change your professional environment.

If you are applying for a position that is not close to your hometown, please inform us of how you will be travelling to work or whether you will be moving closer to the pewag site, along with your earliest possible start date.

Start your CV with a short list of your most important personal details, e.g. date of birth, marital status and contact details (home address, phone number, email).

If you include a photograph of yourself, make sure that it shows you in a positive light – please no party pictures or holiday snapshots!

Add starting/end dates to your education and work experience – if you are unsure, listing the month and year is perfectly acceptable (e.g. 06/2010 – 08/2012). Please provide the full name of your school/university/previous employer with a brief job description outlining your daily functions.

Your foreign language skills should always include the knowledge level (i.e. B1, C2) and any extra trainings or special skills that you have should be backed up with certificates if possible. Last but not least, tell us a little about yourself; what you do in your free time; or anything that really makes you stand out from the crowd.

If you have included all of the above, your CV is ready to be sent!

When listing your professional and educational history, you should always start with the most recent first, i.e. you start with what you are currently doing and work your way backwards. Separate your educational background from your career background under two headings “education” and “work experience” – this makes it easier for us and speeds up your application process.

If you have completed training courses (language, career-furthering) you should include this in your CV along with the full name, the date it took place and any certificates or acknowledgements.

Leaving gaps is never a good idea and for us, they aren’t a problem. Nevertheless we would ask you to include them in your CV with a short explanation, e.g. “seeking work (from-to); sabbatical leave (from-to); professional reorientation (from-to).
