Hot Dip Galvanizing Systems
pewag’s hot dip galvanizing lifting systems are designed to enhance safety and durability in hot galvanizing plants. Chains used during the galvanizing process are subject to high stress including extreme temperatures, zinc corrosion and hydrogen absorption.
At high temperatures, pewag’s hot dip galvanizing systems achieve a significantly higher minimum breaking force than those demanded in EN 818-5 and EN 818-6, which means more safety for the user. They also feature high stress corrosion cracking resistance.
Our range includes fire-resistant chains, shackles, master links, transition links, eye sling hooks and connecting links.

pewag winner fire chains are engineered specifically for hot-dip galvanizing environments, enduring temperatures up to 475 °C. They must not be used over the normal temperature range (30°c pickling bath – 475°c zinc bath).
During acid cleaning, hydrogen is released, which can cause embrittlement in high‑strength alloy steels. pewag’s proprietary heat treatment process helps mitigate this risk. Their chains are manufactured to withstand the demanding conditions of corrosive industrial environments. All products are tested and certified to high industry standards.
