Steelworks and scrap yards
In a steelworks slag yard, loaders and tool carriers drive over hot and liquid slag, large pieces of solid scrap and abrasive concrete. Tyres can be punctured or burned, and maintenance windows are short because the yard has to keep pace with the furnaces.
